The armoire is meant to hold items that you can't actually get rid of. inventory slots, retainers etc. find anything in your armory chest that does not have room (example, you have every possible helmet slot full) put whatever you don't want into your main inventory and get rid. I choose to put everything in my inventory to keep my armory clean ^^. ”First, I strongly recommend going to Character Configuration -> Item Settings, and unticking the box that says “Store all newly obtained items in the Armoury Chest”. There's an option in Character Settings somewhere that by default puts all new armour and weapons in your armoury chest.
